Applicable Models

The panel of X3 is removable and it can be installed on a dashboard with dimensions ranging from 170*96mm to 178*100mm.

If your car dashboard size does NOT fall within the range of 170*96mm to 178*100mm, you need an extra installation kit(not included) to install the unit.

ISO connector of factory car radio

Please note the power cable of X3 is ISO standard. Please make sure that the power cable connector of your factory car radio is an ISO connector as the left picture, otherwise you need an extra adapter cable(not included) for connection.

Honestly, it was easy to install - you need to get the mounting bracket for Toyota (so I reused my old one). Straight forward. Love the simplicity of the interface. Android auto is laoded within 30 seconds. There is some audio lag and sometimes it cuts off, I believe it has to do with the WiFi channel. Let me experiment and let's see how that works Followed the instructions to change the boot logo to the new Toyota flat icon.

I bought this unit only recently and I am more than happy with my purchase. It arrived on time, with no issues, came as advertised. We did a home install. For anybody considering the same, I would recommend that you educate yourself on the matter before. All cars differ, so you may need adapters and such. I have an Alfa Romeo Mito, in which I've installed it. For my car I needed a 2Din radio frame and the a plastic cover. The installation itself was not cumbersome. For the wiring itself (like for the backup camera) I used soldering, but it's not necessary. As for the unit itself: I've had zero issues, with connecting to it. I love the phisical button and knob. Works great!

Can i install new apps on this unit?

Different from Android car stereos, Linux ones don’t support app installation. But it has built-in wireless CarPlay & Android Auto. You can use apps on your phone through CarPlay or Android Auto, such as spotify, Google maps, etc.

What kind of backup camera is compatible?

Eonon Linux system car units(including X20, X20 Plus, X3, X3 Plus) supports 720P AHD backup cameras with RCA interface and CVBS/PAL/NTSC video signals.

My car has Bluetooth and a microphone. Can I use my microphone for Bluetooth?

No. After installation, Eonon car stereo uses its own Bluetooth and microphone and is not compatible with the ones of your car.

What kind of backup camera is compatible?

The unit supports 720P AHD backup cameras with RCA interface and CVBS/PAL/NTSC video signals.

How to use navigation?

The unit itself does not come with a navigation feature. If you want to use navigation, please connect your phone to CarPlay/Android Auto, and then use navigation through CarPlay/Android Auto.
