Colin Smith 2014 VW CC I installed this head unit into my CC and it does look amazing and bring a more modern look to the interior. However, the max volume is significantly less than my OEM radio as well as the sound quality does not sound as good. It doesn’t sound bad, just not as good as my OEM radio. It also likes to randomly skip a second or two ahead in my songs and the steering wheel controls stopped working 2 days after install but the tablet recognizes my inputs as it beeps, just does nothing. Maybe I got a faulty radio, idk, but I would most likely not purchase again for any future vehicles and just find an OEM upgrade option. Instal was quick and easy though, everything was plug and play. I give it a 3/5 because it looks really good but performance is meh.

The handling is a little longer but fortunately there are tutorial videos on Youtube that explain very well.
The colors, image resolution are amazing and the sound is great. Top for watching videos. The touch is fluid and works very well. Connecting with my phone is quick and easy.
I recommend this radio set to give a facelift to the interior of your car and to make your life easier while driving with all the features it offers.
Slava Druk Transformed My Car into a Modern Marvel! 11/17/2024 I recently upgraded my 2010 Volkswagen Golf Variant TDi 1.6 (automatic, CanBus) with the Eonon VWA12S-6G stereo, and I couldn’t be happier! My car, being a transition model, made me cautious about compatibility, but the Eonon website and support made the process smooth and stress-free.
Why I Upgraded:
My original stereo lacked Bluetooth connectivity, and while an AUX adapter worked for my iPhone, it left my wife's Samsung out of the picture.
I initially considered a Bluethooth FM converter but decided to dive into a full upgrade instead. After some research (shoutout to the Saab Unleashed YouTube channel), I landed on Eonon for their user-friendly website, fast delivery to Sweden, and a great Halloween discount.
Choosing the VWA12S-6G:
Eonon offers two models for my car. I chose the premium VWA12S-6G for its better CPU, 6GB RAM, and smoother performance. While it's pricier, their comparison tool helped me see the value.
I also received the A0125 back camera as a gift, which was a must-have given my towbar.
Installation:
The installation was surprisingly easy, even with all the cables. My car didn’t require extra adapters, and Eonon’s website provided clear guidance.
The stereo transformed my car's interior with its stunning 9-inch display. The sound quality through my speakers also improved significantly, thanks to the built-in Amplifier app.

Back camera functionality: Essential for maneuvering with a towbar.
Additional USB ports: I now have three extra USBs in the glove box, perfect for charging phones.
Minor annoyances:
The recessed screen makes tapping near the edges tricky.
My iPhone SE takes longer to connect than my wife's Samsung.
I can’t share my iPhone’s hotspot while using Apple CarPlay—a small inconvenience I haven’t resolved yet.
Camera Installation Tip:
I initially connected the camera’s power to the reverse light, but it failed when the engine was running—a known issue with VW reverse lights being unstable. The Eonon manual highlighted this, and I solved it by using a 4-contact relay to power the camera from a more stable +12V source (cigarette socket in the trunk).
Final Thoughts:
After a few weeks of use, I’m genuinely happy. The 9-inch screen, improved sound quality, and reliable connectivity have completely modernized my car. My only wish is that the USB ports were circular with a threaded design for easier panel mounting. Even so, this stereo is worth every 'Swedish ore'. Highly recommended for anyone looking to breathe new life into their older vehicle!
